About The CCGNB Family
Welcome to Country Cutz Grooming and Boarding! When you walk through our doors, we want you and your dog to feel like you’re walking into a friend’s home. We believe that grooming and boarding shouldn't feel like a rigid corporate process—it should feel safe, cozy, and filled with genuine kindness.
Our approach is built entirely around one-on-one care. Whether your dog is here for a fresh haircut or staying with us for a vacation of their own, we tailor our day to them. We know that being away from home or getting a bath isn't always every dog's favorite activity, which is why our number one goal is simple: to make your pet as comfortable, relaxed, and happy as possible. We actively limit kennel time during grooming so your dog can spend less time waiting and more time being pampered.
Meet the Heart of Our Salon: The Country Cutz Family
Though our founders, April and Brad, are busy managing behind-the-scenes operations and their second grooming business, they have poured their hearts into training a team that feels like an extension of themselves. Our staff operates as a tight-knit family, trained to care for your pets exactly the way April and Brad always have: safely, kindly, patiently, and with deeply rooted compassion.
When your dog is at Country Cutz, they are in the expert hands of our incredible team:
Teresa Carpenter – Assistant Manager & Bather/Kennel Assistant
Teresa is a vital part of our daily rhythm and keeps things running smoothly. She brings years of deep animal experience to our facility, ranging from her time working with the SPCA to helping with numerous rescue situations. To say Teresa loves animals is an understatement—she has a heart like no other, a deeply caring soul, and would truly bring every single dog home with her if she could! She is the proud mama of Reagan Rae, a rescue Pitbull who has been coming to Country Cutz since she was just a puppy.
Samantha Woodson – Bather/Kennel Assistant
Samantha is a patient, hardworking, and deeply animal-loving individual who brings a fantastic balance to our team. She has extensive experience working with large animals, which gives her a natural, confident, and gentle touch when handling our larger canine guests. No matter the size of the dog, Samantha’s calm demeanor helps them feel right at home. Samantha shares her life with a beloved Pitbull/Pit mix named [Insert Dog's Name Here].
Anna Street – Groomer
Anna has been professionally grooming for over two years, but her roots in the pet industry go back to when she was just 16 years old. She is incredibly dedicated to the comfort of the dogs in her styling chair, taking her time to ensure the grooming process is a patient, positive experience. Anna is a true team player who never hesitates to jump in and help out with kennel work whenever needed. She is the proud owner of a sweet rescue Pit mix named Camille.
Morgan Shiplet – Receptionist & Care Specialist
If you've been to Country Cutz over the past year, you likely know Morgan as a dedicated bather and kennel assistant. She is currently stepping into the receptionist role as she prepares to welcome her very first child! Morgan has a quiet, gentle nature that dogs naturally gravitate toward. She excels at making our guests feel comfortable and safe, whether they are on the grooming table or missing home during a boarding stay. Fun fact: Morgan’s rescue Pit/Lab mix, Shadow, actually boarded with us before Morgan became an employee. She was worried he wouldn't enjoy it, but he and the staff became such fast best friends that it brought Morgan right into our work family!
Our Roots
Country Cutz was founded 13 years ago by April and Brad. April has spent her entire life—all 46 years of it!—surrounded by animals, including 6 years as a veterinary technician and 16 years as a professional groomer.
While you might not see April and Brad at the front desk every day anymore, April is still fully present in the daily operations, ensuring that the high standards of safety and love that built Country Cutz are met every single day. We are so proud of the team we have built, and we can't wait to welcome you and your furry family members into our salon!
